I don't know how it sounds because there was no point trying it on a call. You have to hold it to stay muted.
I wish I could give it 0 stars. It doesn't matter how inexpensive this headset is - it's useless at any price.
The mute button is exactly that - a momentary contact button. The ear loop has no adjustment, can't be flexed and is actually painful to put around your ear.
I don't know how anyone could wear it. (see my picture).
It's going back.
Just today, it broke. Mute button and volume dial on the cord were very convenient and always worked. Comfort and sound quality were excellent. But to get 3+ years of service out of something like this, I'm very impressed. I never heard buzzing in the background, and if volume was ever an issue, all I had to do was turn up volume on the cordless phone it was plugged into. I used this very heavily, often for hours per day, on virtually every business day for 3+ years. Easily worth the price.
I am using this headset with the Panasonic phone model KX-TGA931T, which is an otherwise great phone, except the volume remains rather high even at the lowest setting when when used pressed against the ear. With this headset, I have better control of the sound, even down to mute using the inline volume control. The only thing that I do not like about it is that it feels tight when pressed against my ear.
Bought a couple more of these. We use them for tech suport over the phone with a headset. Works like a charm and our developer is picky so it meets his needs.
I wanted to disagree with the other reviewers on this headset. During this time, I've dropped the phone so many times I've stopped counting, each time resulting in the headset being yanked out of the phone. Are there issues, yes. Maybe I just got a good one, but the one I've had for the last 4 years has been one of the most reliable and best headsets I've ever used. I know other people who in that same time have used and destroyed 8 other headsets (average of 2 per year) and mine still works as well as the day I bought it.I use it at least 2 hours a day with a Panasonic cordless phone (a coincidence, I had been using Jensen headsets before I bought this one). It's a bit too quiet for my tastes and I could see how it would be a bit hard to adjust for height. I'm lucky, the boom hits in just the right place and no one has ever complained.
